The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) has announced €116 million in funding for 20 new projects aimed at strengthening Europe’s leadership in 6G research and innovation. Among the newly funded projects is 6G-CATS, which will contribute to the development of next-generation connectivity technologies and innovative 6G solutions.
The new projects will advance areas such as AI-native networks, cloud-edge infrastructures, cybersecurity, IoT, non-terrestrial networks and immersive communications, while supporting Europe’s technological sovereignty and its role in shaping future global 6G standards.
